Update! :)

So my other female did not work out, she was too afraid and let herself get picked on...

So female number two went in a few hours ago...and I think I have eggs! I did not see them embrace yet, but his nest looked a little different so I got my little light and looked and it looks like there could be a small amount of eggs. I got my fiance to check too and asked him if he saw any and he picked out the same spots as I did thinking where could be eggs. So I am hoping

Not sure if they are done spawning yet or not, or if I am imaging eggs lol but I am keeping an extra on them now to make sure the female will be okay.

Thanks Romad, here is a photo of the nest...

could anyone tell me if these are eggs?

He started chasing her away and attacking her so I just took her out just in case...

Thanks for the reply bettalover

Have you been successful yet with your attempts? This is my first time actually getting any eggs in a nest so excited

thanks drama! So far daddy isn't staying under the nest that long, is that normal? From what I read the male stays under the nest hardly moving. But now eggs have fallen onto the bottom or anything.

Does he keep going back to the nest? He may rearrange the nest and move eggs around if there are any.
