Some aggression is normal but like doggyhog said, if it gets too rough then she needs to be removed.

I've got a pair in the spawning tank right now, and the male is being somewhat aggressive, but not over the top.

If he is CONSTANTLY chasing her, or nipping her in places other then her fins, she needs to be removed

its the same as what going on in your tank. minor nipping but he is showing some aggression but always sometimes he just swims past her without flaring.

okay well right now they are showing interest in each other and are literally just swimming around each other...also she is not letting him pick on her anymore she is flaring back and he is backing off.. and i guess that it is making him feel like she is taking away his fishood is such a word lol. and well when ever she flares back at him and she displays herself to him he just backs away. next update will be later
