flaring preferences lol

Claude was my fraidy fish and would not flare at anything (his reflection scared him), until I tried a blue pencil.

Aryen will only flare at M.A.C., but not much. I think he's still young.

M.A.C., another fraidy fish, didn't flare at anything until I came to visit my family (my sister's taking care of him). He's been flaring non-stop at me since!

Corona and Joachim (recently passed away) flare at EVERYTHING! Joachim would always greet me by flaring.

Renard flared at Pony Boy and Corona when i first got them, but no one else. He was in a tank where he could see my sorority, but completely ignored them. He'll flare at anything shiny I put in front of his tank. :P

My new copper boy flares at Renard, but not Corona. He flares at his reflection too.

And Roald Dahl, my sweetest betta, did not flare at anything at all or give any hint of aggression...until I added my new HM boy. He flared at him! Weird.

I haven't tried my new HM yet, but he hasn't flkared at Roald Dahl or Corona.

well they are alot like human men! LOL they'll make a big show bout themselves but when a stronger guy comes along they're all quite and hiding ha ha ha... just bettas mind their children better than human men lol

I put a mirror in front of mine, but he doesn't appear to flare up :( Maybe it's too early? I just got him from the pet store yesterday.

OMG! He finally flared for me :D All it took was a mirror with 3X magnification!! MUHAHAHAHA!! (6) And he has *terrible* eyesight, so I have to put the mirror directly on the glass :D

Feeshy would flare at Illidan all of the time. Even though they were separated on the table, they'd still get a glimpse of one another and BOOM! Also, Feeshy will flare for endless amounts of time at his reflection, and sometimes, my face. LOL

Since I only have one guy, I use a reflection. He flares at it, then after about a minute and a half he attacks it, thats usually when I take it out and let him calm down.

^^^ maehk attacks immediantly... he's very aggressive. next water change ill put him beside draco, caus he's very aggressive too. salmon just cant keep up with neither of them and atm the poor salmon is between the two of them.... gonna put him beside ghost because he harldy flares anymore...

i tell ye its so complicted.... lol
