plant deal? input?

I have been offered an 8x12" section of java moss and 3 large marimo balls for $35. It is form someone about 45 mins from me who has just a planted tank (no fish). is this a good price?? he also offered to sell me a coralife 24" light for $75 total, including those plants. I'm leaning toward just the plants.

Is this a good deal??? I have not purcased plants before...

I don't know if it's a good deal or not, but I would go ahead and get it because you never know when you might have someone that close selling plants for a reasonable price! Plus, planted tanks look better IMO. So I would go for it!

That is a very good price considering a golf ball sized section of java moss usually goes for about $3. The marimo balls go for like $7 or more (can't really remember.. I don't really like marimo balls).

I wouldn't get the light... if you just get a daylight CFL it works just as well.
