I've only used aquarium salt, but I think any salt can be used as long as it's not ionized. I use salt specifically for torn fins. It works great in my sorority.

Epsom salt should be listed here too. I read a few posts where it is better to use that when fish are ill.

yes...so i can use the salt from my salt shaker? or should i just wait until tomorrow when i can go buy aquarium salt?

yes i have at lease he died in a clean tank thats the only upside i can think of. and im sure that in the future i will try even harder and not ignore. and thank you.
