Refrigerating open brine shrimp

My Swishie finally ate! Frozen brine shrimp.

Now that leads me to: Rather than freezing an entire cube, is it okay to keep a half a cube in tank water in the refrigerator for a week? It seems easier than trying to saw off a bit twice a day, this way I can just use a syringe to suck some out to put in. Will they keep?

I defrost tiny pieces and keep them in the fridge for about 3 days. Treat it like any other raw meat. I break the cubes into small pieces ahead of time and keep those in the freezer so I can just grab one when I need it.

I would suggest the same. 3-4 days is the longest I would keep them in the refrigerator. It shouldn't be too hard to take a kitchen knife or scissors to a little cube and just chop it. Make sure you wash the whatever you use to thoroughly afterwards though, or have a dedicated knife/scissors you use for fish-related stuff.
