Is reptile decor fish safe?

While I was looking for kritter keepers (that I found in the reptile department) I got caught looking at the decor. There is some cool stuff, so I was wondering if it would be fish safe? I have some links below, what do you guys think? I would assume as long as you rinsed them in hot water they'd be fine...?

I heard somewhere that some decor has chemicals on it, although I don't know where that came from. Try asking as many employees as possible? And if you're really curious, go ahead and buy one, soak it extensively (one week or so). But I would assume it's safe.
