Rub A Dub Dub, Bettas in the.....Cup? lol Water change time & a question =]

Here are the boys at water change time! First off, i noticed that Matthew has dots on his fins, that are a little darker than his fin color. It is cool looking, but with my recent luck i feel this is a sign of something bad =[ is it?? Also, i know i have been told several times that water changes do not stress fish, but sorry, IME it CAN... i know fresh water is better than no change and blah blah blah... But poor Peter was thrashing NONSTOP in his temp. cup until i got him back in his home. Now, he is back in the tank at the bottom breathing hard =[...looks like water changes DO INDEED stress bettas. I did everything i could to make it as smooth, quick, and effortless as i could. Now Matthew ( did the same exact procedure ) loved his water change time and did not thrash at all and is loving his clean home again. What on earth is wrong with my Peter?? =[ =[ Below are some bath time pix

Do the spots look kinda like the fish below? I've seen a LOT of blues with speckles.

Nope, it's just coloring. I actually think those speckles are SO pretty! You're lucky to have him.
