Need a quick answer - how much Prime for 4 gallons?

I'm really confused. The bottle is telling me to measure by capfuls. That seems really vague. I have a 10-gallon and I do a 4-gallon change each week. I've just run out of "start right" which is 10 drops per gallon.

Is water conditioner something I need to be precise with? Will it kill my fish if I put too much in?

Use 2 drops per gallon. Overdosing with Prime is difficult to do, don't worry.

Thank you! I was worried I'd kill my fish.

I have the same issue. 3 gallons, directions say each thread on cap is for 10 gallons. I was thinking about just squirting out all of my betta safe treatment since the Prime is better, and sucking in some prime to that squeezy container so I could measure in drops, lol. But since it's not a huge deal if I'm not precise, I'll keep doing my "micro splash" into the cap!

If you want to be precise, 1mL of Prime treats 10 Gallons. So basically 0.10mL per gallon.

The dropper part of the small squeeze-bottle is removable. You can wiggle it out (carefully with pliers) and replace the original contents with anything you like. Makes drop-measuring easy, too.

Precise dosing is less important than cost-saving in this case.
