Shaka-pi's new set up

I just deco'd his tank "Zen" style:

The tank looks really good, but I would watch out for those bamboo leaves. I've heard that they can't be submerged and they'll rot and foul the water and possibly kill your fish.

What's the difference in the two "thermometers"? One of them is not like the other. Tank looks nice - I love the head centerpiece. The cobble is also very natural and appealing - I wish I could find some for my tank, but black gravel is sufficient.

One thing: I've also read about the bamboo leaves not being able to be submerged.

I have 2 in there because 1 is not accurate, and I just haven't removed it yet

yeah I have read that to...but I have a friend who has had them in his tank for 6 months now with no trouble same style and everything. But I am am in the tank so much so I will know if they start to go bad.

i would defo remove the bamboo. i wouldnt care who has them in they're tanks for how long but its a fact bamboo are not sub aquatic plants. id go for java fern. very pretty and easy to keep.

Well maybe you could just remove the leaves that are under the water? That way you could still have it but not worry about the leaves rotting in the water. I really like that cobblestone look too, it's very pretty. Great aquascaping!
