Yeah, not many of us have those. I think Drama might be the only one? I have no experience with them.

I haven't had any problems with paint coming off nor have I had any slime buildup. Every time I clean the tank then the log gets rinsed in hot water.

I have 1 so far for dexter & he loves it. He swims through it & sleeps in it. I'm thinking of getting one for my little girl Penelope. My other guys prefer their hammocks. No probs with the paint here either.

Sometimes my betta seems to sleep floating up top, but mostly he seems to lie on the bottom to sleep.

Most of my bettas sleep in their caves, though I do have one or two that might like the logs. I'll look into it.

I wish I could get a log for Rosie and Zippity to make them feel secure.. but I just can't spend any more money on them.. much less a $10 log a piece. I think Fish would like one also.

This is what I do for one of my guys instead of buying a log... I cut the bottom off of a medium plastic cup (so there are no jagged edges). Since it sinks, I cut a strip of styrofoam cup and put that length-wise in the plastic cup. It keeps the cup floating and Dane LOVES it - he builds his bubble nests in there and hides in it during the day. He doesn't sleep in it though.

My guy seems to like his log just fine... sometimes he'll just hang in there and stare at me. He's pretty rad!

We got one when setting up our tank. Our guy definatly likes swimming through it. I haven't caught him resting in it yet...though usually he likes to take a nap on a plant leaf it seems.
