Yes, he came that way. I just got him 2 days ago. I know I should be tougher, but the idea of taking him out of his big new world and putting him in a little QT makes me sad. He has adjusted so well. I will try his treatment in the hex for now. I know it does not hold 5 gallons as I filled it one gal at a time. Thank you all for your help and positive comments.

In most cases, it is advisable to QT them in salt, and NOT re-dose it. As it dilutes down, they become reconditioned to the environment for their main aquarium.
