Rocks n holes n stuck fish

On the home straight.........picking out rock type play things for the new tank. How big does the hole in caves or bridges or whatever need to b so the male betta doesnt hurt himself??

Almost there.......will have a new fish in a few weeks. Finding it tricky to find some1 who stocks them tho :( may have to b mail order. Any suggestions/tips/help on this??

Some people stick their thumb through it, and if it easily fits, it should be ok. I like to go super safe and stick all my fingers, and my thumb, but I have small fingers.
