guppies, neon/glowlight tetras, otocinclus, almost any kind of cory, rasboras...these are just a few species that are adequate in that space and would get along well with your betta.

So im maybe not going to get the ten gallon for a month or so but i saw some african dwarf frogs at the store and liked the looks of them. In my divided 5 gallon i have a snail, betta, and two ghost shrimp on one side, and just a betta and two ghost shrimp on the other. I was thinking about putting a frog with the betta that does not have a snail to hang out with. do you all think this would be an okay environment for the frog to live in?

In my 10 gallon, I have just taco, and in my 5 gallon I have just Tofu. Taco is easily stressed, so my plans for my 10 gallon is I am going to add an apple snail, and I considered adding a few african dwarf frogs. I considered some cory cats, but I've heard of a couple people saying their betta's got stressed by even having those type of fish in the tank.

The cory cats really seem to be a harsh hit or miss. Either it works or it doesn't.
