Is the water in your aquarium stagnant? I would suggest putting a filter into that tank if it is... and I have picked up this FABULOUS stuff called Nitriban/Nitraban ... put in a teaspoon of it for every 5 gallons of water that you have every time you do a water change (a little less if it is not a complete water change), then let the tank filter and such for a few minutes... add fish and then presto! My nitrite levels were back down to a safe level (almost zero!!!)

I have a filter already installed, prettyfishy. As for the Nitriban/Nitraban, what does it do for me? I think my nitrites are finally going down, little by little. Hopefully I'm not just seeing things when it comes to my master test kit. Haha.
