Ugh I'm disgusted

I go to a 99 CENT STORE... yeah a 99 cent store and they had bettas in tiny little cups which were all dirty. They had a lot of debris and such! They had about 8 cups and one betta in a vase that had bamboo. All of the bettas were sick and didn't flare and wouldn't even swim. You couldn't even tell the colors of the bettas because of how dirty the cups were. The only one that had a clean tank (you could say) was the one in the vase he even had a bubblenest. After I saw the bettas I just stormed out.

You should complain to management. Tell them if they continue to keep the fish in such conditions you are going to report the store to corporate. Also tell them you will not continue to shop there as long as they house bettas in unacceptable conditions. If they do nothing find out the store number, look up the website for the corporate office and report the store. Tell them if the conditions do not improve you will contact the HSUS and PETA as well as alert the media.

Believe me, people that deal in selling animals want nothing to do with PETA. Thats a great threat to have under your belt when working in animal advocacy.

Disgusting! Thats why if I go to wal mart I don't look at the fish unless i'm actually going to get one. You should complain!

Since it's just a small store and they don't have a website and such I'll probably go there tomorrow to complain to the manager.
