Question about eggs...

My male didn't grab all the eggs.... there is now alot of eggs sitting at the bottom. I don't think he's ever going to pick them up...

Are they infertile? Or what?

he probably only put ten eggs into the nest...

This is his first spawn.... He's new to it....

Is it wrong of me to expect more from him?

I think those eggs may be infertile. I've heard the female eats the infertile and the male leaves them. Make sure you have containers for at least ten fry now

so betta fish new to spawning dont have as many fry? Because i would love to try spawning sometime in the future, but am afraid i wouldnt have enough room for the new bettas, I prolly have 10 or so friends who would want one, and i would want a few, but fewer would definately be better in my case.
