See this is sorta conscerning being that I have 2 Plakats that cost me $80 shipped from aquabid arriving next tuesday.

This weekend was supposed to be getting tanks and sand tonight, setting them up and getting plants and stuff tomorrow and sunday

Now Im still doing that, but my primary consern is Carnage.

Im going to do a like 75% WC SLOWLY tonight with a little of the salt, and drop his water level a few inches and keep him covered.

Im just freaked because i have no idea what the heck is wrong with him in the first place.

I use distilled water only, heat is adiquate. he just took a turn outta no where.

Sadly, bettas do that sometimes. Don't give up, though - many times, these little guys are troopers and pull right through if you just give them a little boost.

My grandmother used to give her goldfish a slug of whiskey and they would always perk up, I think she pickled them cause they lived for years and they were possibly alcholics lol.

Does he have any sort of parasite, fin rot that you can notice on him? this could cause him to act weird

It could be the start of something like a parasite. Have you seen him scratching?

My betta did that, one minute he was swimming around and flaring the next he was just laying on the sand and only moving for air, he eventually didnt bother using his fins just slithered, I didnt even know fish could do that lol

yea, normally id just be watching him, but the fact he was weak enough to be pulled into a like 1gph bubbler tube has me conscerned.

the redneck in me is peeved because hes my show piece, and before he got to me, he should have had better.

the hippy in me thinks "a bad fish" is just unacceptable.

Thanks for easing my mind welch. you're a nice lady.

I think if you were sucked into something and got stuck, you'd be freaking out too.lol Just give him time and he'll come around. Sometimes if they're stressed for long periods of time it can be fatal to him but be careful not to jostle him and keep his tank covered. I wouldn't even do water changes right now. When was the last time you did one? What size is the tank?
