1.5 gallon tank for a female?

Would a 1.5 gallon tank be too small for a singular female betta?

That depends. How big is the female? (If you have her)
I think it would be Okay, but I think (and many people would agree) a 2 gallon or more is better for her.

I don't have one, I was just wondering. I have it sat empty is all. I had shrimp in it for a while.

If it's too small, it's too small; I don't want to squeeze one in there for the sake of it :).

IMO it would be just fine as long as you made proper water changes...that being IMO without filtration: 1 50% and 1 100% a week water changes...so two a week and this is provided that you don't over feed and you remove any uneaten food after feeding.
With filtration twice weekly 50% would be fine IMO

Yeah, a 1.5G is fine as long as you keep up with the water changes. IMO I would do two 100% water changes a week. You can never clean a tank too much.lol

For one female it's fine. Especially if you have live plants. ;)
