As I said I'm new to the forum. My husband, six month old son and I got our first fish tank this year, we got a tetra 1.5 gallon glow tank and three neon tetras to live there. We set up our tank and the next morning two fish had died seeing how I forgot to treat our tap water before adding in our fish. Opps, I know better now. Lol. After that I wanted to do some more research on fish, how to care for them and which type would be best for us. I was online and came across this site, after seeing all of the beautiful bettas on here I knew I found our match. I couldnt help myself so the next day I bought our first betta at this local little fish store, we named him Smoke. He is my little mans fish, they love each other. Smoke always comes towards the front of the tank if he's looking in it. Its so cute. A few days later, we went to petsmart just to look at what they had and of course I found one that I just couldn't leave without, a gorgeous crowntail I named Rebel. And now my little family owns two male bettas and the little fish that didnt die when I first started my tanks.*

Here is my first tank, a tetra 1.5 gallon with filter and I still need to get a heater for it. I'm still making this home right, I need a new hiding spot and plants.

Im not sure what tail type Smoke is. I thought he was VT but Im unsure when he flares. What do you think?
