Size tank for my King betta

Okay, my birthday was yesterday so I have a little extra money to spend on fish. I REALLY want to get a King betta. My parents got me a 5.5g for my birthday & I'm going to be keeping Mosquito fish in that tank (my teacher is giving me his & there is like 4 or 5...not really sure).

Petco has some tanks for pretty cheap! The 5.5g are only $16 & the 2.5g are $13.
Now here comes the hard choice. A 2.5g is a lot easier to store than the 5.5g...I'm kinda running out of room. Like I just had to clean off a huge section of my trunk (that's the only space I have left for a tank).

I'd rather keep a King in a 5.5g....but I don't want to take up too much space with tanks. (Seriously, I'm getting Tank Collectors Syndrome. Three 1gs. One 10g. One 5.5g. Four .5g)

Which tank should I get?
And also, the only not really expensive filter they have is made for a 3g. It is an Elite Mini (only $10!)

Go for the 5.5g. I wouldn't keep a king in anything smaller.
