5 gallon

Hello!
I have a new aquarium, it's a 10 gallon that was cracked when I bought it, we repaired it with silicone and it was fine at first but the silicone shifted a bit it seems and I can't put as much water in the aquarium, so its like a 5 ish gallon right now. We are going to test to see if putting more silicone outside is going to work....

I've already put the betta in the aquarium, since he was in a holder one for a week... He's exploring it, so I'm guessing he's ok with it.

So for now I'm trying to figure out what other kind of fish can I put in there, I'm opened to any kind the place, I get my fishes from has a good variety.

Jerry seems to love having neon tetras as tank mates. They both love swimming with each other. Not in a I'm going to attack you sort of way, but friendship. Kind of cool and weird all at the same time.

You could only put more fish in it once the tank is fixed. And I wouldn't risk it to be honest. If the water leaked out all over the floor it would be a lot of cleanup.

Have you though about purchasing a new 10 gallon? They are like 10-15$ in the store

If you did get the tank fixed properly you might be able to squeeze 4-6 neons in there (I believe) with one Betta.

if you want to try the silicone again, make sure it is absolutely dry when you apply it and let it cure for 12-24 hours (preferably 24 hours or more)

make sure to get at least 6 tetras, as they are schooling fish (they need groups to feel comfortable)

they def steal food from each other. but i would hope someone more experienced will chime in with the food issue.

ok thank you!
the outside is dry, it's not leaking with the water level I have at the moment, I'll get the tetras when I finish repairing the aquarium.
10 g aquarium here are not that price most stores sell them at 40$ and more,
I got mine for 20$ from a thrift store and it came with almost every thing.

I'll be updating you all on what happens next.

Thank you very much for all the replies they really help. ^-^
