Question do i have to cycle my tank?

do i have to cycle my tank before i can get my betta?

i have a 6/7 gallon tank and im buying a heater tommorow
and i have a 1.5 gallon tank and im buying a heater tommorow(do you think 1.5 g is to small for a betta )

its alwasy better to cycle, especially if you using a filter. i would

IMO- the 1.5g is fine for a single Betta as long as the needed water changes are made, also, due to the size- 1.5g- IMO needs at least twice weekly 50% water changes when a filter is used or 1-50% and 1-100% weekly water changes for unfiltered tanks, cycling is not an issue due to the number of water changes that are needed to maintain quality water for fish health and well being.

In the 6-7g tank unless heavy planted IMO they too need twice weekly water changes......with or without filters.

thanks so can i put my betta straight into its new home tommorow or should i wait a few days for the heater to settle?
