I've never had a nerite before but they sound delightful. I have a zebra snail and he is like a tiny, awesome vacuum cleaner.

Lol thanks!! do you just have to put the rocks in some water by a window or is it more complicated than that??

If it's a zebra it probably is a nerite! If you post a pic. somebody can probably tell you for sure, but usually "zebras" are a color form of nerites.

No, just that easy! The sunnier the window the better. I use a cheap plastic shoebox ~ the kind you can get at the dollar store. Just make sure to use tank or treated water ~ the chlorine in tap water will kill/restrict the algae growth.

Thank you so much! Would a tupperware bowl do the trick? I know walmart sells those rocks in a big pack for 2 dollars

Tupperware should work just fine! Glass works too, I've used a mason jar also.

Really? I just figured they were called Zebra snails because that's what Petco and Walmart call them.
