Poor guy! A month ago I rescued a copper CT that bit off most of his tail but he passed away. :( I hope your guy makes it!

He's super-active and healthy looking (except for the fin though) so I can see him having a great chance of survival. I can't tell if there's been tail growth or just healing over.. I hope it grows back :)

If you see clear edges start to grow it's healing. But honestly since his rays were taken off too its very unlikely it will ever grow back. I don't think rays grow back But he may be able to regrow a little and it will be easier to swim.

What is the current like in your tank? I've found that with my biters and fin rot cases that putting them into an unfiltered tank with absolutely no flow promotes better and faster regrowth. I believe its because the delicate new tissue is able to get stronger without being battered by the fish swimming against currents. But that's just based on my personal experiences :)

Aw, that's a shame. Though even a little bit of regrowth would be nice to help him swim better :)

And the current is almost non-existent on his side, on purpose. The divider cuts it down to almost nothing.. Hopefully it helps :)

Poor guy! :c What a shame, he looks like he would be really pretty if he only had a tail.
