betta acting strange

i just did a 100 percent water change and changed the plants i had in there from plastic to silk and now my betta is staying in the top corner of the tank he will run away if i put my finger near the glass but always quickly comes back to it.He wont go near the new plant and is not going in his barrels. i put a little food in there and he gobbled it up and looks ok but i am a little concerned. At first i thought he was just seeing his reflection but hes not reacting to it. could it be the silk plants maybe there scaring him?

He may just need a bit more time to adjust......how long has it been since the change in water and adding the new plant?

Hes probably just adjusting to the new water. Give him an hour or two and he should be fine :)
did you acclimate him?

I am sure you did this...but if on city water supply did you use enough dechlorinator with the new added water and keep the water temp within a couple of degrees from new and old water.
Have you checked his water temp and make sure it is okay?

Maybe just adjusting. Give him some time to get used to its new environment.

Make a 25% water change and make the replacement water in the 80F area and add the cooler water slower over 5 min and watch his behavior.

Or

Turn off the heater and lights and check the temp every hour until it get in the 80F and then plug the heater back in...
