I just normally scrub my rocks with hot water. Also, if you have one of those fingernail brushes (the ones to get dirt out from under your fingernails) that hasn't been used with soap you can use that to scrub too, which helps get a lot of the dirt off. I have one that I use.

Hmm it might only be a problem if you soak the rock in bleach but they are quite porous so if you do use bleach on it be quick about it, though Im sure as long as you dont soak it in a bleach solution (just a quick scrub and then rinse rinse rinse) it will be fine :)
