No Luck Lately

Well, one of my four boys has had an odd bump on his face ever since I got him, he has acted perfectly fine until now, because it seems something is growing out of the bump. The tank hes was in is 20 gallons, stress coat, salt, filtered, heated, after it happened I added Maricyn to the tank and the little one hes QTed in which is .5 gal, pure spring water treated with Betta Plus and such. After I first gave them the maricyn whatever it was growing on him, fell off and left an open wound, but it has grown back. ANy ideas on what it could be?

I have no idea what it could be but I would just keep the water very clean to prevent infection and continue to keep an eye on it.
