Should I be safe or sorry?

Would it be okay to leave my female in my male's tank when I sleep so that maybe they could spawn overnight?

NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never put a female in a males' tank!!!!! Unless you are going to breed, have a 10gal, and you've done ALL your reseach.

Yes, if you remove her you can risk her dropping the eggs or absorbing them and then you have to wait 3 days and start again.
The hormones in the water from the male trigger the female eggs to start to ripen and the hormone from the female ripen eggs trigger the male to spawn.
As long as you have plenty of either live or fake plants and hiding places for the female to get away and rest from the male all should be fine.

YAY!!! I've always wanted to, but the daunting thought of a dead female in the morning always kept me from doing it.
