Exclamation Help me!! Aladdin is sick!!! :(

HELP ME!!!

i rescued aladdin from the evil pet store!!
he is very small and he has hardly no fins and not much colour.
he either stays at the top of the tank or in his cave.
what should i do to help him!!
(by the way he was like this when i got him, i got him because i felt sorry for him.)

Alienbetta, just because he is floating at the top, or in his cave doesn't mean he is going to die.

Is the water clean? What are some decorations in his tank? Did you wash everything well?

Just to tell you, sometimes bettas have their off days like us.
Is he exhibiting any signs of illness other than the floating?

Wouldn't aquarium salt would be more useful? Isn't epsom salt just for bloating? I've never used it before, and I've never had to, though.
As I said before, for his fin rot... daily water changes with a teaspoon of aquarium salt per gallon for ten days would help.

...I thought aquarium salt did... or do they both? Lol, I don't know anything about epsom salt. XD

i will get some aquarium salt tommorow. i left the rocks in boiling water for 20 minutes before adding them to his tank. should i do a 100% water change and give the tank a good scrub.

I would, yes. Just don't stress him out too much, when you scoop him up with the net and put him in a cup or whatever, cover it with a dark cloth and make sure his water stays warm.
