Tail Rot

Hey everyone sorry it's been months since I've posted here. My boy Kokomo has been fighting some nasty fin rot on his tail for the past couple of days. I don't know how he got it, his five gallon tank is kept immaculate and is filtered and well planted. I did a water test when it first started and everything was normal. I've been trying salt baths and bettafix but it's still getting worse. I'm thinking about trying some stronger meds, all I have on hand is Jungle Fungus Clear tabs and Maracyn. Whats everyones oppinion on these? I have not used the Fungus tabs, they were given to me from a friend. I've had luck using the maracyn with popeye but have never tried it with fin rot. Any advice is appreciated!

I would try a combination of Maracyn 1 and 2.

Clean water and aquarium salt. Use about 1/2 teaspoon per gallon.
