I was cleaning my divided 10 and noticed one of my guys' poo was encased in a clear mucous type covering. I know this is usually a sign of internal parasites, but he has absolutely no other symptoms. Eating fine, acting fine, looks fine and the poo wasn't "stringy" just regular with a clear coating. One of the guys in the tank had external parasites a few weeks ago and I removed him and treated both him and the tank with AQ salt and coppersafe. Could this cause mucousy poo? Or is there anything else? The other guy in there doesn't have this problem. Tank is cycled, all params normal. I vacuumed the tank and didn't notice any other mucousy poo, just normal poo. Could it have been a fuke? I will be taking this guy out and putting him in the 3 gallon eclipse next to the comp so I can keep an eye on him. Is there anything else I can do at this point? If I treat with JPC, will it nuke my cycle?
Thanks!
