Quietest filter?

Got an Aqueon filter today after reading a bunch of reviews that they are extremely quiet. The one I got, however, is anything but!!! Pretty sure I will be sending it back.

In your experience, what is the quietest power filter out there?

The filter that comes with the ten gallon kit Aqua-Tech I think, Tetra Advanced Filtration, and Marineland Penguin filter. I have all of these myself. The Marineland one might be to powerful it pushed my King Betta around, but he loved it.

for a HOB filter I've had great luck with the Aqua Clears. Never heard a peep out of them.

I have the Penn Plax Cascade Internal in 3 of my tanks, a 2.5 gallon and 2 of my 20 gallons and I think they are great I removed the carbon section because I have plants and I have been very, very pleased since they are inside I hear no noise and they keep the tanks super clear. Here is what I have:

I like that you can set the flow to slower or faster. I have the smallest one they make in the 2.5 gallon with my newest betta and he has no problem at all swimming I have it on the lowest setting.

I'm a light sleeper and I have three sponge filters in the same room all of which I don't notice. I have an Elite Stingray and the Aquael filter that came with my tank also a little filter for smaller tanks, if I were to reccommend one it would be the Elite Stingray :)
