I'm excited to give them a treat! :3 I used to get all my betta tips from bettatalk...and for some reason they never worked...then I learned the truth of bettatalk and like everything I've learned on this forum has been totally different from that site. I feel like a n00b all over again. XD

Your bettas are just as happy as you are for getting the treats.

If you want to have fun.... during the summer, find some mosquito larvae. Suck them up with a turkey baster, then use a bit of tank water to rinse them off.... And drop 'em one at a time into the tank.

The first time I did this, my bettas froze for a second.... then went crazy. They were like miniature Great White Sharks stalking their prey..... They proceeded to patrol the tanks for the rest of the day, looking for more larvae.

It was a lot of fun. For me and the bettas, anyway. I'm pretty sure the mosquito larvae didn't enjoy it....

ROFL!!!! Wow!!! And I would be doing a service to the world by killing the mosquitos!

Once we found a baby grasshopper in our apartment.....so....for kicks....into the tank it went. My female betta had a BLAST. I was so shocked but yes, she went into shark mode! And had a tasty meal. :)

....in retrospect, maybe that wasn't the healthiest food.....

That sounds like fun. My house gets flys thx to the dog food. My dogs eat them but I wonder if my bettas would like one if I trap the fly in the tank.
