Buddy isn't looking too well

Buddy, one of my dwarf hamsters, islosing some fur under his neck, and it looks damp and yellow. Also the area around his eye is kind of red, and before he couldn't open his eye all the way, and he still can't. I'm going to see if I can get him to a vet tomorrow or this weekend, although I hope the vet won't cost too much, as I don't have a lot of money. My grandma doesn't think it's worth taking him to the vet, but I'm going to try. Here is the best picture I could get. I hope he is okay :( I <3 you Buddy.

He's so cute! I hope you can book a vet appointment for him.
Hairloss in hamsters could point to mange, mites, or ringworm. And a red eye could point to an eye infection.

Hope he gets better!

Awwww T_T I hope he's ok! How old is he? Dwarf hamsters have an average lifespan of 2-3 years I think. I've never owned hamsters before so I don't really know much about them. D:

He is very young, when I took him in from another family, they said they had only just gotten him, so not even a year old yet.
