Recommended water test kit?

Im sure they wouldnt make it if it didnt work and im sure this huge pet smart store thats one of the best store ive seen wouldnt be using it if it wasnt working right or not working at all but to each is own..

I had trouble with strips too (the ones you dip for a second or two). I believe they were made by Mardel. They always pegged my tanks at 8.3 ph. They're actually 7.2. They had no ammonia test either. I really like the API kit. Plus, I get to feel like a mad chemist! :D

No mine are made by jungle and there's 2 different kit's one has ammonia and the other is nitrates and nitrites and all that good stuff and then theres this othere kind thats made by the same company but you have to take water out of the tank and test it with the strips its a little different i use the one's that petsmart uses its never let me down.
