Do you have trouble with people...

feeding your fish without you knowing?

When I had my fish in the kitchen I would always have to hide the food because my mom and friends would always overfeed her. I thought I was safe since I moved the tank to my room, but today I caught the housekeeper feeding them a ton. (at least 15 pellets) I was able to scoop them out and explain to her if she really wants to see them eat please give them 1 each...

But it just kinda gets on my nerves because people don't understand it can hurt the fish and the water quality.

That is screwed up! I thought it was common sense to not feed other people's pets without their consent. If they think the animal is being neglected or starved then they need to do their research first and then talk to the owner about it.

She said they were dancing around like they were hungry. I know she didn't mean any harm. I'm just glad I found out about it.

yep, I've got that problem too. That's why the cabinate with all the fish supplies that the tank is sitting on has a lock, and I've got the key. The lock is so easy to unlock even without the key, that it's more of a visual reminder to my family then an actual obstical.

Oof, windex... I caught my little sister doing that to my tank and almost had a heart attack.
