What tank should I get?

Hello guys! I am going to get my Betta Fish and my Betta Fish tank tomorrow. Anyway I can't get a tank that is bigger than 5 gallon since my mom thinks it's too big. I wanted to get a cool shaped tank. Do you guys know any types I should get that they sell at walmart or anything? thanks!

Seems it's a regular squared/rectangular tank and it's really small.
"cool shaped tanks" are usually very small unless you're planning to spend big bucks.
Walmart has a 5gal kit for $30, you can look at it online.
You can just go all out with the decorations!
Also, check out the Gold fish kits at Petsmart, they come in cool colors and the smallest is 1.6 gal. There's an even better suited one of 2.6 galons.

I got a 2.5 (they have 5 gallon too) mini bow from petsmart. It comes with a rim that's black, blue, or red. I picked the black one, you can see it if you look at my album. It's great, but you have to be careful with it so you don't scratch it because it's acrylic. It's good though and pretty sturdy. It comes with a filter, water conditioner and lighting. The light bulb needs to be switched out though to a flourescent since indcendescent lightbulbs will cause the tank to be too reflective on the sides and stress your fishie. He'll be okay though. :)
I don't think bulbs cost too much, just make sure it's the right size.
And get silk or live plants, plastic is not good at all, but you might know that already.

how much money are you looking to spend? if you want to upkeep live plants your going to have to invest in lighting, which can be expensive.

IMO/E "cool" shaped tanks are about as useful as "cool" shaped bird cages. Nice to look at, but not too good for the animal.

If you want to get live plants, I highly suggest the maineland eclipse tanks. They have a fluorescent light that is suitable for growing low light plants. They are also quite well designed--the 5 gallon comes in a hex shape which gives it a very small footprint.

I had that tank that's in that Youtube video and let me tell you, WAY too small for Mister Betta. And for five dollars more I got a really nice five gallon kit that came with a hood, filter and the tank. In the end it's really best to have a good home for your fish, not something that looks cool. I learned that the hard way.
