You can still prod at it with a gravel vac to dislodge any trapped waste, but nothing too excessive is necessary if you're vacuuming regularly.

Sweet! does a water test kit come with instructions on what level's of ammonia should be preset at what times/ ect...?

Though they do come with charts and comparisons, no amount of ammonia should be present in your tank, ever. Unless you're cycling.

yepp, i'm going tomorrow to buy a tank and im going to start cycling
