Pics of the Tank and more

Pic of the tank with the extra plants waiting to get my heater and fish.
Plus a bonus just for Oldfishlady....Pete my other pet happy on top of his cave/rock mountain ruling over his kingdom of crickets. LOL Not Betta related but thought it might be fun.

Pete is indeed a leopard gecko. He's entering his golden years at about twelve years of age. I also picked up the long awaited heater (tetra HT10) Got it heated up proper and returned to the local shop as I had spotted a beautiful red Crown Tail Male there. I checked out every single fish and he appeared to have the cleanest water, was the most responsive (determined by moving my finger in front of him not tapping and the cup) and was actively flaring his fins he's floating right now in the cup and I'm waiting a bit before I introduce any of the water from the tank.
Wish me luck. P.S. Tank was up to temp before i left how long does he have to float for before i had water?
started 15min ago

I usually do about an hour adding a little tank water to the bag slowly every 15min or so.

yeah i put like an 1/8 of a shot glass of water in every 15minutes so far and put the seeded gravel in i figure it cant hurt to have some live bacteria in the tank for a bit.

VERY nice CT!!! And Pete is ADORABLE!!! My parakeet's name is Peet (Peet the Keet) - LOL!!!

Glad to read you are acclimating your betta to the water as well as the temperature - BOTH are vitally important, IMO.

okits been over an hour and i just moved him with out his water to the tank he seems to be checking out the new digs. I'm leaving the bacteria gravel in for about two weeks then removing it as it really looks horrible in there ( i have nice white gravel and its black) but its mostly in a cup i lowered to the bottom so it should be easy with enough to pull it out. I'll try to get some more pics later on but for now I want to just let him mellow out and check everything out.

Now all I need is a name...was thinking Hattori?
