How often do you take your bettas out of their tanks?

yeah thinking about this...100% change you disassemble the entire aquarium? Right? I'm probably going to have to drain it about half way down in order to catch him in the net lollol he hates that thing and is.....'uncooperative' shall I say lol Today was his first full day in there...day and a half total. when should i be thinking about doing my first change???

Pei, how big is your tank?

Also, you can use the container he came in to scoop him up. A lot less stressful than a cup. You can even try to train him to swim in by feeding him each time and letting the food float into the half-submerged cup.

Haha yeah he is a little ocd about his tank if I move a plant or anything he used to freak out and just hide.When I moved him to the 5.5 gallon tank from a 1 gallon he was fine but when I moved him from the vase he came in to the 1 gallon tank he hide for about a month lol.He is still neurotic though and the oldest fish in the house lol .

My tank is a 2 gal tank I have an UGFilter and used some gravel from an established tank ph is 7.0 no chlorine-mine ammonia nitrites and nitrates are low low low temp is 76-78F.
