Quick question,

do you think Kili would do well in a divided tank?

I do believe so, he's stopped fin biting all together and he's in a breeder box next to Tiger and he can certainly see the outline of him and then with the gouramis around him he's been just fine.

That's good. Ive been considering asking if I can adopt a fish (Kili) for my birthday. It is a possibility but it depends on what happens with my birthday.
Since I cant get a dog for my birthday I asked for a 5 gallon and hopefully divide it, since I don't really like having the kritter keeper were it is, and since its for Castien im sure he would like the company. I think Kili would be a good fit if that is ok with you for a set up and it works out.

Though if someone else offers to give him a home before I now for sure then its fine if he goes to them :)

My birthdays in a few weeks so I should be able to tell you by then.

Sorry for rambling lol

That's okay! I can hold him because I doubt he'll really be going anywhere

I can divide my 2.5 since I wanted to do that to keep the fish warmer rather than having Steele in the unheated 1 gallon. So I can see how Kili does divided with Blizzard if he's still here when I finish it or put him with Tiger

Thank you :)
Good luck with dividing the 2.5 gallon if you do do that

Speaking of Blizzard, im glad you found a (potential?) home for him.
I don't know why but it almost looks like he has anime eyes in some of the photos. I think its because of the little blue part on his black? eyes lol

You mentioned that a few of these are rescues, like saved from people's houses? May I ask how you come across them like that? Do you work for an org or something?

Rescues as in they were given to me to care for and do what I want with after the people didn't want them, or given to me from my LFS who knows I know all about Bettas and how to heal them and such. That is the story of my latest rescue Black Hawk who will be staying with me :) he had some bad fin rot but all of that is taken care of with just some warm water and frequent water changes! I started with KanaPlex but he doesn't need it any more ^_^

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh another note, Steele is still up for adoption if anyone wants him, $2 for adoption and $8 for shipping since the whether is better I don't need to buy heat packs so that's why shipping is down from $10. He was supposed to go to NY today and then to Canada but the guy who wanted him never got back to me so he's up again for anyone!

Again, he does well in a community tank with fish who are not nippy towards him, very lovable and a ferocious eater! Leaves shrimp alone if they leave him alone.

That's very nice of you to do that. What's the back story about Steele?

Steele came from a home of chain smokers, ugg, poor fish. Him and his brother although his brother Spoon, was previously thought to be a girl . I did pay for these guys but they did come with their set up although I didn't keep them because it reeked of tobacco which I'm not terribly fond of lol. He is a tail biter although seems to stop when he's in a community tank without fish bother him, small tetras, peaceful barbs, shrimp and other bottom dwellers he's all fine with! So far I've had him for almost two and a half months now lol, he's a good boy.
