I've noticed a lot of people here recommend the Hydor Theo, I have one and really like it too.

I had a Marineland Visi-Therm heater that was around six years old when it started acting up.

I contacted Marineland and they ended up sending me a new heater. To say I'm impressed with their customer service is an understatement. Marineland stands by their product all the way. Not a common thing in today's world.

I'd go with marineland. They've replaced a part on a tank I had of theirs, no questions asked. Amazing service and above average products.

I have some of the old Jagers that still work AWESOME - I have NEVER had a single problem with them. Knock on wood!!!

I have heard, though, that the new ones are not up to par with the old ones. Don't know if it's true or not, but just what I have heard.

Mine is fairly new and is much better at keeping a steady temp compared to my others. It's been so hot here lately I have been having to turn off lights and stuff to keep temps down though.
