Well if he has no other tankmates then I don't see a problem why you can't treat him in his tank, just remove anything that might die. I'm not too sure whether plants are tolerable to salt, maybe you could research the ones you have on the internet or something

As mentioned a lot in my original post, he does share the tank. It's divided for 3 bettas. I used to salt their tanks all the time.

Anyone know anything about salinity tolerance for java moss and marimo moss balls? How the heck do I find information about that??
