Talking New Tank for my Baby c:

My baby Commie has a new tank c: His three day stint in a .5 Gal is now over and he's upgraded to a lovely little 3 gal of his own. The tank isn't completly decorated yet but he's got a silk plant and a mostly smooth rock. The little guy hasn't stopped jetting about since I got him in there - he seems so happy <3

Cellphone image - aka blurry XD

Congrats on the new home. Did you cycle the tank before putting him in? if not, remember that you need to change the water more often than if it were cycled, at least until it gets the beneficial bacteria by a "fish-in" cycling. ;)

Keep an eye on the params of the water and replace some as needed.

I would have properly if the poor thing hadn't been in a .5 gal. Somehow keeping him in a unfiltered tiny space for longer seemed like a worse idea then just changing out larger quantities of water. Whats more work vs. his life after all?

I have the testing materials though and I've done a lot of reading up on it and fully plan on regular water changes to keep him happy and healthy. Hopefully the Bio-wheel helps a bit as well
