Its suggested that you also have something other then just those. Bloodworms work more as a treat, and have no nutritional value in them that are necessary for a betta fish. You also might want to get some pellets or flakes as well, but don't fear if its gonna be a few days before you can get either of those, its not that big of a deal.

Also, with freeze dried foods, you generally want to soak them in a cup of the tank water, as to make it easier on your fishes digestive system.

Some Betta's will not eat flakes.

Pellets are fine as long as they are soaked in a bit of tank water BEFORE feeding

Hikari is very good. Bettas seem to love it.

I am using Omega One sinking pellets. They have good nutrition in them and he seems to like them alot. I also have the same brand for bloodworms and he loves those, he always waits at the top ready to pounce on them when I put one in. But Omega has flakes for bettas too. :)
Hikari is a great brand! Expensive, but worth the money it seems.

I use Nutrafin Max flakes. They contain freeze dried bloodworms, but I've never fed Ares those. Are they ok for him to eat? The flakes are good though :)

Bettas love bloodworms! But you should only feed them once or twice a week as a treat.
