multi-day Feeding blocks (cubes)

Has anyone ever used the multi-day feeding blocks for their betta when gone for the weekend?

They're bad. Bad bad bad. They can severely taint your water. Your betta will be just fine not being fed over the weekend. :)

BAD no way it could kill your fish because the fish could get bloated and die by the time you come back!! also it would make the water blurry with uneaten food!!

I picked those up just out of curiosity a few months ago..they basically melted and stayed a giant gross melted lump at the bottom of the tank.
