Newts/Salamanders?

What do you guys think about them?

Ive always loved newts but ive never had one, one day i'll deffinatly get one.

I used to have a whole colony of fire bellied newts, they even bred! They're adorable. Deffo some of my favourite pets.

Newts live FOREVER. OMG. My parents bought a couple for my little brother when I was in maybe... 4th or 5th grade? I'm 19 years old and they're still kicking.

I gave all mine to a friend for her birthday because she just loved them. She has a TON now. XD

My brother's are evil. They'll gum you to death if the get the chance. lol.

What angers me is that he takes horrible care of them. But with 6 bettas and soon to be 2 cats, I flat out don't have the room for another 10 gallon tank for 2 newts!

D'awwww XD Mine (err... my friends) never bit anyone. It's just all gum? That's so cute! She has four ten gallon tanks full of them now...

It's really too bad that most people don't take care of their animals properly :( Research isn't that hard!!

If you look down into their tank they stare straight back up at you. and we discovered that if you hover your finger around them they'll jump up to grab it since they think it's food. It's painless, so I doubt they have teeth, or teeth big and sharp enough to be felt.

But I love 'em so much! When I go home to visit I play with them and change their water if they need it. They usually do. Their tank is disgusting half of the time.
