5 gallons - when enough is enough

On the subject of 5 gallon tanks,
I traded 10 Jumbo mollies, 10 Platies, 5 Guppies with a women tonight.

I have chatted with her thru E-mail several times and was to her place once,
When I was there earlier this summer she had two tanks, 1 - 5 gallon and 1 - 10 gallon,
She told me she had recently gotten a much bigger tank, 60 gallon to be exact.
and was looking for something to put in it,

So when she offered a 10 gallon in exchange for some fish I thought Ok,

Anyways earlier this evening I took the fish up and we did the swop,
We then sit down to chat abit,
I was abit surprised to hear that she had taken all the fish that had been in the 5 & 10 gallon and put them all together in the 5 gallon, For a min I really thought I had misunderstood her, But nope she has over 50 fish in that small tank, Guppies, tetras and other fish,
Then she really thru me for a loop,
She said they was moving next month so she packed the big tank up and wasn't going to use it until they got in their new place, I swallowed hard, bit my tongue then asked what I knew I didn't want to hear,
"WHERE DO You intend on putting all these fish I just traded with you"?
Why in the 5 gallon tank with everything else, "was her response"

Totally Amazing, I was almost speechless,

Looking at my 5.5 gallon I just can't see it o_o; Even looking at my 10 gallon, it looks like it'd be PACKED. How do the fish swim around?!

Gah! It would look like one of those feeder goldfish tanks at walmart!

Did you still give her the fish?

Wait, she put over 50 fish in the 5G.
Actually Given the 25 she got from me that # is WELL over 75.

Told her she would have deaths real shortly if she didn't dig out the big tank,
She just grinned and said, Their lots of room in the 5 gallon,

I'm just so Tired of arguing with folks over fish, most don't seem to listen, "It's just a stupid fish they say and think I'm totally nuts" hopefully when she starts to have a few deaths or sees just how crowded they are in there, She may have a change of heart and dig out the big tank,

Wow. Thats so freakin ignorant. People like that will never learn because its not gonna hit them hard when they die. They clearly already dont give a damn about them by putting that many fish in a 5 gallon. For people like that, a dead fish is something they can easily shrug it off. They can just flush it and go about their day. I feel bad for the fish.

After water displacement you'd have room for an inch of water..
