long fin giant?

Is that a thing? Is it possible to have a hm giant? An EE giant? I've read giants crossed with giant only produces about 30% giants so I assume it would be pretty hard to breed them toget EE or hm. What about a hm x giant cross then the largest fullest finned F1 bred back to the giant parent?

Does that even make sense? This is the first time I've even pondered genetics to this depth.

Yes it is possible to get any type of giants IF you are willing to work on them.
Keep breeding the largest siblings or offspring to giant parent.

Possible but challenging. I wish you good luck if you try and attempt this. From my limited understanding, all three of those traits are resessive

Yes it is possible. I have a few long fin giants and EE giants that im breeding and work with them just like indjo says by breeding largest siblings or back to parent. Much less common than giant hmpk for sure.

If I ever attempt it I think I would need to extensively improve my knowledge of genetics first haha. Sounds like it would be super challenging.

Haha yah it's super challenging to get any specific traits on giants since they don't always breed 100% true. But if you're willing to work and spend time then it's definitely possible

Challenging is an understatement. Almost driven me nuts actually. So many things to consider and each trait being recessive makes it harder. After 2 years I am finally seeing some results of breeding my marble line, a good giant line and EE together. If I knew then what I know now I am not sure I would have taken this project on.

Haha yah I've bred before and I thought it was challenging lmao. 800 fry was sure not fun to deal with.. 5 spawns at once lmao. I only have one platinum white HM spawn right now which is sure a lot easier. Getting those specific traits that you want takes allotta work and allotta time so you just gotta be patient
